2017 saw the value of the international animation market rise to $254 billion. We, however, don't expect it to stop there. This industry is bound to grow, especially now that it has proved to be an efficient marketing strategy.

When most people think 3D animation, they think entertainment. This is mainly because animation has kept us captivated in movie theatres for the longest time. The capability to captivate and inspire is in fact the reason why animation is quite popular among marketers nowadays.

So how effective is 3D product animation?

    Well, Extremely Effective!

Consider giant brands such as Gillette and the ever popular Apple. Take a look at the Gillette ads and you will realize that a simple animation changed a lowly shave into an adventure. Now think about at the extent of trust the marketing technique garners for the brand. Gillette sets itself apart from its competitors by taking this new strategy to marketing. At the end of the day, a top quality animation reflects very well on your brand. That is exactly what a good 3D product animation will do for your brand; it will make you stand shoulders above the competition.

When 3d animation is utilized as a marketing tool, three main advantages are realized:

    1. Prototyping Magic: A lot of cash goes into designing a prototype to test the market. To be fair, they do get the job done but, what if there was a cheaper alternative? Well, now you can. 3D product animation models your product in a virtual world and exposes it to the market. That is to say, you have the necessary feedback from the market without suffering the cost of a prototype.

    2. First Impressions Come Once: Let's face it, many products are boring. Think about the Gillette brand without the 3D animation. How boring would that have been?

3D product animation has the capability to change even the most boring of products into a blockbuster. Every product is beautiful in a virtual world- especially after a few special effects. Utilize animation to strike a chord with the market of interest.

The iPhone X is a great example. The marketing campaign was mainly centered on3D models. Some other brands including Microsoft, Huawei, and Samsung have also used 3D product animations. Now you know why they dominate their respective niches.

3.Money Talks: 3D product animation helps save money. The animation can be utilized long before the marketing phase to distinguish problems in the product design. Designers get a feel of the product before it's physically prototyped- and make all the proper changes.

Animation is also easily the most cost-effective marketing technique there is. With the rising popularity of Virtual Reality (VR) and 3D printing, it helps to show that you are familiar with the latest trends.

Your product can gain a lot from 3D technologies. They add mystique, suspense, and glamor to products. Being a contemporary development, animation gives your product legitimacy in the modern market. The wrong first impression has been the death of numerous products.

Don't add to that sad statistic. Stir things up. Turn your advertisement into a 3D tale showcasing your product as the stylish and irresistible hero. You do wish to be the next Apple and Huawei, don't you?
